Last night was the Official Chicken Eating Day at Chick-fil-A. The only reason I knew this was that earlier in the week on a mall visit when we passed through the food court the kids were given cow hats and told that if they wore them on Friday and went to Chick-fil-A they could eat for free.
On a side note-we never do things like this. David absolutely hates crowds of people so we never take the kids to these kind of special events. So, the kids were excited about the cow hats, but we figured that they would quickly forget the rest of the story. But no, their memories are good. Everyday they kept asking if it was friday yet so they could get their free chicken.
So yesterday, although it was a hectic day, I just couldn't tell them no to going to the event. So we went for dinner. Yes, there were a lot of people dressed as cows there for the food, but the kids loved it! They were so proud that they were able to get free chicken (maybe my cheapness is rubbing off on them). They of course had a person dressed in a giant cow costume, of which both Isaac and Nicole were very unsure about, but Skye was excited to get his picture taken with the cow. It was a fun evening.
