Ok, so I haven't completely finished this book yet, but I have been impressed with it. I've been enjoying the picture it paints of God and His desired relationship with us. I has been thought provoking, and has made clearer for me some topics that I've never understood. Yes, it is a fiction book, and the author never makes any claims to the contrary, but I think it still has wisdom in it.
I was a bit surprised to find when I added it to my virtual bookshelf on facebook that there seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding the book. Those who feel it is too "new age", throws out too many rules, and challenges religion, etc...
So now I'm interested to know what others think about this book. I feel like it has given me insights, and challenged me and my relationship with God. I think it's a beautiful book, and look forward to finishing the last couple of chapters. I'd even like to go back and reread parts as I puzzle through the implications of what the author is trying to say. Maybe I'll find a few thought provoking quotes to share and see what everyone thinks. . .
