Days of summer. . .

We've had a good start to summer. It's been so nice to be able to sleep in just that extra half and hour before getting up. The kids are playing well together and just enjoying not having much of a schedule. We did a lot of swimming Sunday and Monday, and look forward to lots more.
We did have one crazy event. David went in to get Isaac up from his nap and walked in to see him sitting quietly on his bed cutting his socks with scissors. He noticed that there were also feathers all around him, and upon a closer look that pieces of Isaac's hair had been chopped, and his sheets had holes out of them too. UGH! I managed to sew up the hole in the down blanket reasonably well, the sheets are in the trash and after a visit to our great hair stylist you can't really see the problem with Isaacs hair anymore, although he does have the shortest haircut that he's ever had.
Today is Skye's first day of tennis lessons. He's excited and a bit nervous about them, but mostly seems excited. I hope that they go well. I think I'll finish this post after class so I can write about it . . .
Well it's taken me a couple of days to get back to this, but Skye is loving tennis. He's not the star athlete of the class of anything, but he's holding his own and having fun which is what we were hoping for. He's excited to be playing and doing well. whew!
