ok, I know our vacation was weeks ago now. But better late than never right? We had a wonderful time in Vermillion, Ohio with my folks. We borrowed one of their long time friend's house which was just a perfect fit for our group. It had a private neighborhood beach on Lake Erie that we walked down to and spent a good portion of our day on each day that we were there. We played tennis on the tennis court there, took walks, played in the canoe and kayaks, just sat and relaxed, played settlers, etc. It was so nice to just get away for a few days.
We did take one day to go to Cedar Point. The kids absolutely loved it! I was very impressed when Jaden and Colten both decided to try out a loop de loop roller coaster, and other various thrill rides (luckily they are tall for their age so met the height requirements to be able to ride all those scary rides). Ashtyn enjoyed checking out the tamer rides at Camp Snoopy.
Favorites of the day:
Colten's favorites were the water rides (the log ride, and raging rapids ride)
Ashtyn's were the ferris wheel, carousel, and spinning balloons
Jaden's were disaster transport (an all in the dark coaster kind of like space mountain) and the train ride that went past the ghost towns with animatronic skeletons having shoot outs, etc.
My favorites were just watching the kids faces on all the rides. They met the Peanuts Characters, and even took part in Snoopy's Dance Party.
What a blessing the whole time was for all of us.
