Didn't think it was possible. . .

Ok, I didn't think that a bee could sting you twice. . . but I guess it's possible. Poor Jaden came running in wailing about a bee sting yesterday afternoon. I finally figured out it stung his eyelid, then discovered that he had also been stung about 1 1/2 inches away on his eyebrow as well. I gave him benadryl, tylenol, put ice on it, and made a frantic call to Joshua to see if I could also put benadryl cream on it when it was so close to his eye.
I was worried about it swelling, but I didn't realize how much being stung in the area would cause swelling. The poor kid looks pretty bad. I'd take a picture but he's selfconscious enough about it. This morning he reported that it didn't hurt unless he rubbed it, but the swelling is still pretty bad. I feel guilty for sending him to school looking like that, but told him he just had to call and I'd come pick him up if it started to bother him more. I hope the kids don't tease him about it, but he's got pretty good classmates. Surely the swelling will be gone before school pictures on Friday, right?
--- UPDATE---Ok, I did take a picture, this one is from 24hrs after the bee stung him, It actually looked even worse the morning after this picture was taken, and he stayed home with us that day as he had to physically lift his eyelid with his hand in order to see out of his left eye. It was looking a lot better finally n Friday, but I opted out of having individual student pictures taken of him as it was still significantly swollen, hopefully he doesn't look too bad in the class picture.
